Report: Injury worry resurfaces for Milan as midfielder will be left out of World Cup qualifier

A potential injury problem has reappeared for AC Milan as midfielder Rade Krunic has sustained a problem on international duty, a report claims.

Krunic pulled up with an injury before the match between France and Bosnia last week. He was meant to be in the starting XI and was even expected to start up front alongside Edin Dzeko, but instead was forced to start the game on the bench and he did not come on.

The former Empoli man spoke to reporters who gathered at a pre-match press conference that he was part of and told those worried about his condition that it was nothing serious and he would be ok to return.

According to Bosnian journalist Haris Mrkonja, Krunic will not take part in Bosnia’s game against Kazakhstan in their 2022 World Cup qualifier. The midfielder, after yesterday’s full-strength training with the rest of the squad, felt a problem in his calf and therefore will not be used as a precaution.
