Report: James Rodriguez on Milan’s wish list – Real Madrid’s demands for the playmaker

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could make an attempt to sign James Rodriguez from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to a report.

Despite the fact that three players look set to seal their departures formally between now and Friday’s 8pm deadline, it doesn’t seem as though much is cooking regarding the incoming market for the Rossoneri.

According to calciomercatonews.com though, Paolo Maldini and co. have already turned their attentions to the summer window, when another mini-overhaul could occur.

The outlet claims that Milan will collect a ‘precious sum’ of around €55m for the sales of Suso, Ricardo Rodriguez and Krzysztof Piatek who are all set to join Sevilla, PSV Eindhoven and Hertha Berlin respectively.

From these three sales, Milan are ready to build a transfer kitty for the summer window, for which one of the names on their wish list is James Rodriguez.

The Colombian has started just six games under Zinedine Zidane this season and his future appears to lie away from the Bernabeu. Despite this, Los Blancos are currently asking for €50million to sell the playmaker, but the fact his contract expires in 2021 could lead to lower demands in the summer.
