Report: Kane deputy, Lukaku replacement eyed as Spurs, Man Utd battle Milan for €40m man

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan face serious competition from Premier League duo Manchester United and Tottenham to land Napoli striker Akradiusz Milik, a report claims.

The Rossoneri are assessing their options ahead of the summer knowing that they are in desperate need of a new centre-forward given doubts over the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the general lack of depth in that area.

La Repubblica reported earlier on Friday (via MilanLive) that Milik will leave Napoli this summer and is attracting interest from Milan. The Rossoneri are willing to offer Franck Kessie plus cash to meet Napoli’s €40m valuation, but Juventus, Tottenham and Atlético Madrid are also keen.

According to The Sun, Spurs are indeed in the race to sign Milik as they only have young striker Troy Parrott to turn to if Harry Kane gets injured again.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have been long-term admirers of Milik as they seek a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, and although Odion Ighalo has agreed an extension of his loan, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking for a more permanent solution.
