AC Milan have placed an offer to try and sign Racing Club playmaker Matias Zaracho before the transfer deadline, a report claims.
Zaracho is a name that the Rossoneri have been linked with since the beginning of the summer, as well as a couple of agent Augustin Jimenez’s other clients in Angel Correa and Rodrigo De Paul.
Gianluca Di Marzio reported last week that Zaracho was offered to Milan by Jimenez, having scored three goals and added one assist in 15 league games this season.
According to the latest from Argentine journalist Julian Mazzara, Paolo Maldini has spoken with the 21-year-old’s entourage and has made an offer of €15m plus bonuses to sign the playmaker.
Mazzara adds that Milan want him to sign before the end of the month, but that Zaracho’s release clause with Racing is set at €22million.
The Wilde-born youngster predominantly plays in behind the strikers as an attacking midfielder, but can also play on either wing, versatility that may be of use to Stefano Pioli.
