Report: Maldini to present improved offer for Tonali as Elliott strongly desire his signing

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are advancing strongly for the signing of Sandro Tonali and will soon present a new offer, according to one journalist.

Despite it seeming like the 20-year-old was on his way to rivals Inter, speculation has exploded over the last few weeks suggesting that Milan are pushing strongly for Tonali.

According to Vito Angele on Twitter, Milan are advancing strongly for Tonali, and it is an operation strongly desired by owners Elliott Management Corporation, who have so far established a recruitment strategy centred around signing young players with high potential.

After receiving the go-ahead from the Italian fund, Paolo Maldini will raise his offer in the next few hours to convince Brescia president Massimo Cellino. Tonali has already expressed his preference: he wants to join the Rossoneri.

It would no doubt be a statement signing for Milan, who also look close to securing a deal for Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko to add further reinforcements to that department.
