Report: Man Utd, Dortmund ‘make move’ for €35m Italy starlet; Milan are lurking

By Oliver Fisher -

Manchester United and Dortmund have both made moves for Brescia star Sandro Tonali, a report claims, with Milan still interested.

Calciomercato.com stated last month that Milan made a summer bid for Tonali that was rejected by Brescia president Massimo Cellino, believed to be in the region of €15-20m.

The same outlet then offered an update not long after by claiming Paolo Maldini and the rest of the club’s hierarchy have not given up on the idea of signing the boyhood Milan fan.

Tonali has previously revealed his love for the Diavolo, revealing that former head coach Gennaro Gattuso was his childhood idol.

According to a report from FcInterNews.it, Cellino is hoping for an auction next summer with the starting price at €35m.

Inter, Roma and Juventus are mentioned as having interest in the report, but it adds that Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund have ‘made moves’.

However, Tonali would apparently prefer to continue his growth in Italy with Milan mentioned as having interest.

The situation is expected to heat up a lot between now and June, the report concludes.
