AC Milan are still interested in a move for Marseille winger Florian Thauvin on a potential free transfer in 2021, according to a report.
Back in 2018 Thauvin’s stock was incredibly high, as he netted 22 times in Ligue 1 in the 2017-18 campaign – second only to Edinson Cavani – before winning the World Cup that summer with France.
However this season he has made just two league appearances after undergoing surgery on an ankle issue, and given that his contract expires in June of next year there has been plenty of speculation regarding a potential exit.
According to what Le10Sport are reporting – as cited by Calciomercato.com – if Marseille do not renew Florian Thauvin’s contract by January 1 2021, then he will be free to seek other accommodation.
Milan, Roma and Valencia have set their sights on the 27-year-old ahead of what could be a free transfer or a cut-price summer move, while it is worth noting that it is not the first time that the Rossoneri have been linked with the wide man.
