Report: Milan begin talks with potential replacements for €32m midfielder

AC Milan have reportedly already begun talks with potential replacements for Franck Kessie amid rumours he is set to leave.

Premier League sides Spurs and Wolves were linked with a move for Kessie earlier in the summer, with the latter apparently having a bid accepted.

However, as the English window closed in appeared that the 22-year-old would be staying at Milan.

That was until a shock report on Thursday from French outlet RMC Sport claimed that the Rossoneri are in talks with Monaco over a €20m deal for Kessie.

They added that the player is ‘enthusiastic’ about the idea of moving to the Ligue 1 side, despite having only made his move to Milan permanent this summer in a deal totalling €32m.

The player has expressed doubts about adjusting to Giampaolo’s 4-3-1-2 system, so a fresh start could be on the cards.

The report goes on to add that Milan have ‘begun discussions’ with potential replacements for Kessie, something that is a sign that negotiations are at an advanced stage.
