Report: Milan boosted in hopes of keeping defender as Man Utd eye Barcelona, Leicester full-backs

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been further boosted in their hopes of signing Diogo Dalot from Manchester United on a permanent basis by reports from Spain.

ESPN claimed yesterday that the English side want to sign a right-back in 2021 to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who hasn’t exactly impressed. In the event of this, they could allow Milan to sign Dalot on a permanent deal in the summer.

According to Fichajes.net, there are three profiles in particular that the Red Devils are monitoring: Ricardo Pereira of Leicester, Max Aarons of Norwich and Emerson of Barcelona.

Interestingly, the latter has been repeatedly linked with a move to Milan over the past few months up until they signed Dalot. It could well be that if United were to land the Brazilian, they will given the green light for Dalot to leave on a permanent basis.
