AC Milan and Fiorentina could complete a swap deal in the summer transfer window involving two centre-backs, a report claims.
According to FiorentinaNews.com, Nikola Milenkovic’s high market valuation seems to have pushed Milan to instead focus on signing Fiorentina’s captain German Pezzella.
Yesterday his agent Guastadisegno was at Casa Milan and it is believed that Pezzella was a topic of conversation, and the report claims that talks with La Viola over the 29-year-old should begin soon.
Pezzella was wanted by Maldini last season, but the technical director was convinced by Serginho and Alessandro Luccito to focus on Leo Duarte.
However, Duarte himself now faces an uncertain future. The Brazilian’s agent, Lucci, met the management of the Rossoneri at Casa Milan last week, trying to sort a loan for his client.
FiorentinaNews adds that ‘it would not be surprising’ to see Duarte and Pezzella in a swap deal, especially given the excellent relations between Alessandro Lucci and their sporting director Daniele Pradè.
