Report: Milan joined by Newcastle, Arsenal and PSG in hunt for €45m Brazil star

A number of teams have joined AC Milan in the race to sign Gremio star Everton Soares, according to reports from France.

The Rossoneri were heavily linked with Everton in the summer, and Globoesporte (via MilanNews.it) claimed earlier in the month that the club sent a scout to the Arena do Gremio to watch him in action against San Paolo.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it) then reported that Milan are continuing to work on the winger as a transfer objective, not for January but for next summer.

According to FootMercato though (as cited by Inside Futbol), Milan face strong competition in the race to land the 23-year-old as Newcastle, PSG and Arsenal are all interested.

They claim that Newcastle recently contacted Gremio to place a loan bid with option to buy at €45m transfer, an offer that was refused by the Brazilian side who only want an outright sale.

However the Magpies have distances themselves from claims that an offer was made (via 90min), meaning the race for now will continue.
