Report: Milan, Juventus among clubs to scout Belgian starlet who ‘dreams’ of Chelsea move

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are one of the clubs who have scouted KV Mechelen midfielder Aster Vranckx this season, according to a report.

Vranckx has made 10 appearances for the Belgian side’s senior team this season despite being just 17 years of age, and a number of top clubs have begun to take notice of his exploits.

According to a report from Voetbal Primeur, Milan have sent scouts to watch the teenager in action, as well as Juventus, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

Vranckx himself has repeatedly stated that he first wants to continue growing quietly in Mechelen before taking on a new challenge, while the same outlet also recently claimed that the player dreams of a move to Chelsea.

In addition, Feyenoord have been credited with interest and have apparently scouted Vranckx, who plays predominantly as a central midfielder and has received a call-up to the Belgian U19 national team.

Elliott Management have thus far deployed a recruitment strategy focused on buying young players with high potential and developing them in order to record capital gains on the balance sheet, and Vranckx certainly fits that bill.
