AC Milan are in talks with Lille over a move for their midfielder Boubakary Soumare and have made an offer, according to a report.
The Rossoneri continue to be linked with a number of defensive midfield targets including the likes of Benfica’s Florentino Luis and Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The latter still appears to be the most concrete track but there are rumours the Premier League side are playing hard ball, leading to some suggestions that Lille’s Soumare is a potential alternative target.
According to Sunday Times journalist Duncan Castles, the Rossoneri have in fact made a move for the France U21 interntional.
He claims via his transfer podcast (and in the tweet below) that Milan have made an offer worth €25million plus a substantial percentage of a future resale.
Arsenal, Newcastle and Manchester United continue to be linked with Soumare, but Milan’s good relations with the Ligue 1 side could be a big boost.
