Report: Milan outcast is all set to join Empoli but there is one obstacle

By Isak Möller -

Andrea Conti is yet to make a single appearance for AC Milan this season and despite the current defensive crisis, he’s expected to leave this month. Empoli are ready to welcome, but on one condition.

The right-back’s adventure with the red and black shirt hasn’t exactly been successful, with a few serious injuries and failed loan moves. With six months left on his deal, he’s ready to say goodbye permanently.

According to Nico Schira, Conti has had an agreement with Empoli for some days now but there is one obstacle. Before closing the operation, the Tuscan side need to part ways with one of their current right-backs.

The feeling is that they will be able to do so, meaning the Conti transfer should go through in the end. Milan will be happy to get him off the wage bill, frankly, and they might get a small compensation for letting him go early.
