AC Milan are ready to pay the release clause in order to finally complete the signing of Dominik Szoboszlai from Red Bull Salzburg, a report claims.

After a fantastic season in the Austrian league with Salzburg – earning the Player of the Season award – Szoboszlai continues to be linked with Milan. The midfielder is a direct request by Ralf Rangnick, according to multiple reports.

MilanNews claimed on Saturday that contacts between Szoboszlai and Rangnick have been fruitful, with the manager hoping to bring him to Milan. The player has decided to give his priority to Rangnick and the Rossoneri, convinced by the project they wish to build.

According to the latest from TodoFichajes, Milan are willing to pay the €25m needed to trigger Szoboszlai’s release clause and beat the competition from PSG, Arsenal, Napoli and Lazio.

Rangnick represents an important factor in the final choice of the player but Salzburg must also be convinced, though it now seems like everything is moving towards a positive conclusion.
