Report: Milan schedule meeting with Real Madrid over Diaz – want to lower €22m fee

By Isak Möller -

Brahim Diaz has struggled to find consistency this season and AC Milan are understandably evaluating the feature. The loan will expire in 2023 but there will be a meeting with Real Madrid already this summer.

There is currently a €22m buy-out clause in the contract and Real Madrid also have a €27m buy-back clause. Milan feel that the former one is a tad too high, based on the recent performances, and thus have a plan to change it.

According to Niccolo Ceccarini, in his latest piece for TMW, there will soon be a meeting between Milan and Real Madrid to discuss the future of Diaz. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara want to lower the €22m clause and it remains to be seen if they will be successful.

As said, taking this season’s performances into account, the €22m investment is indeed questionable but a lot can still change. There are still eight games left of the season and the loan will run until 2023 as well.

  1. They are trying to pull off another Tonali. Making have a shitty season on purpose so his price goes down and Real loses interest in him, so the get him on the cheap and remove buy-back clause. Then when its all done, and next season starts, he turns on beast mode like Tonali did and we have a Spanish/Tasmanian devil trequartista.

    It could happen.

        1. Me too, hope he can shine next season after we success remove real Madrid buy back clausul. He have skill, technique, drible ,that are good as trequartista

  2. Yes his dribble is nice..but he’s don’t hv good foot to shoot or pass, imagination and vision to be a good trequartista
    Don’t expect much from him
