AC Milan are still interested in signing Saint-Etienne centre-back Wesley Fofana this summer at the request of Ralf Rangnick, a report claims.
The Rossoneri seem intent on bolstering their defensive department with young talent, a mission which has seem them linked with the likes of Tanguy Kouassi – who has just joined Bayern Munich – and Boubacar Kamara from Marseille.
According to Nicolo Schira, Milan are still looking at the French market. He claims that Wesley Fofana is the latest player attracting interest from Hendrik Almstadt and chief scout Geoffrey Moncada, after previous links.
Ralf Rangnick wanted him at RB Leipzig last year, the journalist adds.
Fofana has made 23 appearances for the Ligue 1 side in all competitions this season so far (as per Transfermarkt) and is regarded as one of the best defensive prospects in the French youth system. It has been suggested by RMC Sport journalist Timothee Maymon that Fofana has a €25m asking price.
