AC Milan rejected a big bid from Chelsea for Rafael Leao but they face a difficult task if they are to renew him, a journalist claims.
According to what is being reported by Mediaset and Calciomercato.com journalist Dario Donato, Chelsea did make an offer worth €100m to sign Leao in the summer transfer window which was rejected by Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.

However, their real task will come now because the entourage of the former Lille star have made it known that a base salary of €7.5m net per season will be needed to even begin renewal talks.
It is a high figure that would make him by far the top earner among the Rossoneri squad, and as a policy the management have not been offering players such a figure but for exceptions like Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, the arrival of RedBird as the new owners could see a change in approach.

They should offer 100M plus ziyech and pulisic or havertz. Maybe it will be accepted. Lmao.
We are going to have to increase wages or Theo, Tonali, Tomori, CDK will all be off as well
– Theo and Tomori just renewed and increased salary
– Tonali is in the process
– CDK just arrived and he needs to proof himself.
I agree. Milan board has to get their heads out of their asses and make som changes. We will for ever be mediocre with the wages they are giving today.
“We will for ever be mediocre”
Scudetto winners mediocre? That would mean the competitors are crap. And without the refereeing errors Milan would have qualified to the 2nd round from the most competitive group.
Mediocre my a$$.
And without the refereeing errors Milan would have qualified to the 2nd round from the most competitive UCL-group.
Well… The mediocre Milan just won Inter. How about that.

salary of €7.5m net per season , is not high salary just give him the money and sell him if its to much for our club ,
every english teams in premier League pay their players more then that ,
Milan should learn from Coutinho deal. It was Coutinho’s sale that helped Liverpool to regain their glory.
are you sure about that ?
milan need to renew his contract and then sell only if he to expansive for milan ownership
AC Milan is not Liverpool
