Report: Milan risk missing out as Arsenal, Spurs and Wolves all want €25m playmaker

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan face serious competition in the race to land Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai this summer, a report claims.

We reported on Tuesday via Vito Angele that Szoboszlai is on Rangnick’s wish list and the German has received reassurances from the club. The Rossoneri have already been in contact with the agent, collecting the player’s approval.

In the coming days, the first official offer will be presented to the Austrian side, meaning Szoboszlai could be the second to sign after Pierre Kalulu.

According to journalist Alessandro Jacobone on Twitter, the competition is seriously heating up, with his agent Matyas Esterhazy a busy man at the moment.

He has even posted an illustrative image showing the calls that the agent has received regarding his client, with Lazio, Milan, Wolves, Napoli, PSG, Sevilla, Spurs, Atletico Madrid and Arsenal all apparently now in the race.

La Repubblica (via Calciomercato.com) reported yesterday that Szoboszlai has a release clause in his contract valued at €24m. The clause has to be paid in three instalments but is still a very affordable deal for interested clubs.
