Report: Milan set sights on re-signing Thiago Silva as PSG make stance clear

By Oliver Fisher -

Paris Saint-Germain are not interested in the idea of giving Thiago Silva a contract renewal, a report claims, with AC Milan keen on exploring the idea of re-signing him.

We reported via our correspondent Vito Angele last week that the Rossoneri are thinking about a reunion with the 34-year-old and that although at the moment there are still no concrete negotiations, Milan could soon work with the Brazilian’s agent.

Then, transfer source Louis Girardi claimed that negotiations have begun between Milan and Thiago Silva’s representative with a view to bringing him back in June.

Now, parisunited have offered their take on the situation by confirming that – despite the wishes of the player – PSG have no intention of offering him a new deal.

Silva has finished his cycle in the capital and Leonardo would like the arrival of a new world class defender, with Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly mentions.

Thiago Silva should have no trouble finding a new club in his native country or in Europe, and Milan are particularly interested in signing him, the report concludes.
