Report: Milan star to leave after six years – four clubs interested; he has a preference

By Oliver Fisher -

Four clubs are interested in a move for AC Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura who will leave the club at the end of the season, reports claim.

Bonaventura joined Milan back in 2014 but it looks as though his stay at San Siro is set to end after six years, with his deal expiring once the current campaign is over and no sign of an imminent renewal.

A tactically flexible midfielder who offers experience and quality, reports claim that there are four Serie A side who are currently in the running to land the 30-year-old.

Tuesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) confirms that the midfielder is now outside the plans of the Rossoneri, who will save €3.5million gross from the “cut” of his salary. On his tracks are Fiorentina and Roma.

Meanwhile, il Corriere di Bergamo (via MilanNews) are reporting that the idea of a return to Atalanta is atop Bonaventura’s list of preferences, but mentions competition from the aforementioned duo plus Lazio.
