AC Milan look set to miss out on Tiemoue Bakayoko as the Chelsea midfielder is in fact close to joining Real Madrid, a report in Spain claims.
The signing of Sandro Tonali means that signing another defensive midfielder is not an absolute necessity, but it is still something that the management want to do in order to strengthen the rotation options available to Stefano Pioli.
However, according to El Gol Digital, Real Madrid are moving to sign Bakayoko from Chelsea before the window shut and are in fact willing to put the €30m on the table that is being requested by the Premier League side.
Head coach Zinedine Zidane has approved the move and the former Monaco man is in fact the first choice reinforcement for the midfield.
Florentino Perez’s club as mentioned are willing to pay the asking price for the 26-year-old who is outside the plans of Frank Lampard and Chelsea at the moment. The report even goes on to claim that Bakayoko could sign as early as next week.
