One of AC Milan’s priorities for the summer is to reinforce the midfield, given that Ismael Bennacer will be sidelined until the end of the year. Lecce midfielder Morten Hjulmand is one of their targets, a report claims.
Bennacer injured his knee towards the end of this past season and after undergoing surgery, he will be out until the end of the year. Milan, therefore, need to sign at least one midfielder this summer and work is underway on that front.
According to MilanPress, Milan have initiated talks with Lecce over Morten Hjulmand, who played every game except three in the league this past season. The 23-year-old, mostly known for his defensive work, also got four assists.
Per the report, Milan asked about the Danish midfielder during the talks about Lorenzo Colombo, who will return to the Rossoneri. The price tag is believed to be around €15m, which is a reasonable but probably also a negotiable figure.
Bennacer is a good player but I am looking forward to a period with a midfield centred around Tonali who introduces less weaknesses into the balance.
I remember him being pretty solid every time we played them but don’t know if he is at the level we’re looking for. Anyone that’s watched him more often, opinions?

Morton hujlmund is good I have watch some of his match he is solid he can play as defensive, central and attacking midfield Acmilan should sign him he has quality
He is actually good guys. Pretty solid, tenacious and physical. Has one of the highest interceptions and tackles won. Can definitely improve his game in the attacking phase but overall and good buy.
He’s definitely a good player, has very good sliding tackle as well, but needs to reduce the number of cards he receives, but that’s not much of a problem as Bennacer was like that in his first season.
Solid, physical, he’ll be a good choice for the DM. A type of a Bennacer but without the goals…can alternate with Krunic if we can sort out the AM position (Kamada and probably this boy from Fenerbache, or the one from Lazio, or Fratessi).
