Report: Milan target among six players Chelsea want to offload to fund €100m signing

By Oliver Fisher -

Chelsea are willing to sell midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko as well as five other players to raise funds to sign Kai Havertz, a report claims.

A number of sources have reported that the Frenchman is intent on rejoining Milan in the upcoming transfer window, with MilanNews claiming that the club’s management dream of creating a Bennacer-Bakayoko pairing in midfield, as part of Rangnick’s new-look 4-4-2 system.

TMW reported last week that Bakayoko will be sold by the Premier League side during the upcoming window after he returned from Monaco, who opted not to use their option to buy, with Milan preparing a substantial package to tempt him back.

According to the Daily Express, Chelsea are willng to sell Bakyoko this summer as well as Marcos Alonso, Michy Batshuayi, Kenedy, Emerson Palmieri and Danny Drinkwater as they look to sign Havertz, who is valued at €100m.

The Blues have already added Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner to their ranks ahead of next season.
