Report: Milan will sign 6 or 7 players as Gazidis eyes raid on Arsenal for €30m midfielder

AC Milan are ‘in a hurry’ to kickstart their summer recruitment and get the first signings over the line, according to one journalist.

According to insider Vito Angele on Twitter, Milan are only waiting for Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s approval before they will secure his renewal with a signature on paper.

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri are in a hurry to close some incoming transfers. Angele adds that the management will give head coach Stefano Pioli six or seven reinforcements.

Interestingly, he adds that there have been more enquiries over Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira, a player who has been linked with a move to Milan several times over the past couple of transfer windows.

The Uruguay international isn’t part of Mikel Arteta’s project, and is a profile that CEO Ivan Gazidis likes a lot.

Torreira – who cost Arsenal €30m – made 29 appearances in the Premier League this season for the Gunners, amassing a goal and an assist but seeing his playing time drop once Arteta arrived.
