Report: Mourinho video calls €30m Milan striker in bid to beat Chelsea to deal

Despite a struggling first half to the season, Kris Piatek continues to be linked with several clubs on the transfer market. The Polish international is no longer the first choice and could thus leave AC Milan this month.

According to reports from Sport.pl, Tottenham are keen on winning the race for Piatek. In fact, their manager Jose Mourinho had a video call with the striker yesterday morning, in an attempt to convince him to join the club.

As the report continues, the situation will be clear on Friday, as the transfer window closes that day. The Rossoneri are willing to part ways with their striker, but only if an offer of €30m arrives.

In addition to Spurs, league rivals Chelsea are also in contacts with Milan over Piatek, as recently reported by Louis Girardi. Therefore, it could be a war between the two Premier League sides, with just a few days left to go of this transfer window.
