Report: Napoli leading PSG and Milan in the race to land €33m-rated Chelsea flop

By Oliver Fisher -

Napoli are now the team leading the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to a report.

Milan have apparently been locked in talks with Chelsea over a return for the Frenchman for weeks but have not advanced enough to get a deal over the line.

According to GFNF, Napoli are leading give other clubs in the race to land Bakayoko, despite PSG having been in talks over a €33m deal for the 26-year-old which would be a €3m loan with €30m option to buy.

Hertha Berlin have made contact with the player’s entourage and Bakayoko for his part is intrigued by the idea of playing in the Bundesliga, but Spain could be an option too as Atletico Madrid and Valencia both made contact.

Napoli are the team who are ahead of Milan and ahead of the rest of the chasing pack for that matter, as head coach Gennaro Gattuso wants to reunite with the ex-Monaco man having worked with him at San Siro.
