Report: RB Leipzig want Milan star to replace €32m striker linked with Chelsea, Man Utd

By Oliver Fisher -

RB Leipzig are targeting a move for AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek to replace the England-bound Timo Werner, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed earlier on Friday that the arrival of Ibrahimovic could come at the expense of Piatek, whose future is ‘more uncertain than ever’.

The paper added that Fiorentina has emerged as a surprise possible destination for the Poland international as they look to bolster their attacking options, with Patrick Cutrone also linked.

According to Tuttosport though (via TEAMtalk), they may have competition for the 24-year-old, as Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are looking at Piatek to replace Timo Werner.

The Turin-based outlet believe Manchester United could target a move for Werner if they fail to land Erling Haaland from Salzburg.

The Germany international has also been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent days, with the Stamford Bridge outfit apparently readying a £27m bid (€32m).
