Report: Real Madrid consider hijack but Milan are closing in on €15m deal for Espanyol star

Real Madrid are evaluating the idea of joining the race for Marc Roca, a report claims, but AC Milan are in pole to land him at present.

The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with a move for Roca over the past few weeks, and Espanyol’s relegation to the second tier of Spanish football appears to have confirmed that the 23-year-old will seek new pastures this summer.

Mundo Deportivo (via MilanNews) recently mentioned that Arsenal are keen on a move for Roca, but another Spanish source in TodoFichajes have provided an update.

The report claims that ‘everything points to the RCD Espanyol player heading to Italy to join AC Milan’ in an operation that could be closed at around €15million, but Real Madrid are not out of the running yet.

Los Blancos wanted to sign him last summer but were put off by the €40m requests, however now they know a deal could cost just €18-20m plus another €5m in bonuses.

Nonetheless, Real Madrid do have serious doubts, while Milan hope to imminently close the deal.
