Report: Real Madrid set sights on star Milan forward with player keen to make move

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan forward Rafael Leao has said yes to a move to Real Madrid this summer, according to a report from Spain.

It has been a mixed first season for Leao with the Rossoneri after his arrival from Lille last year, but the Portuguese starlet did score four goals after lockdown which appeared to have secured his future at the club into next season.

However, Spanish outlet DonBalon are reporting that Real Madrid are seeking a deputy to Karim Benzema, and at the moment there is no other player who contributes his level of goals and assists.

Mariano Díaz and Luka Jovic are not considered as options, and therefore they have turned to Leao as a potential summer signing. The report states that the 21-year-old has been on Real’s wish list for a while, and president Florentino Perez is convinced that they will not miss the opportunity to get hold of him if presented with it.

Milan however paid €35million for Leao just a year ago and therefore they will make no discounts if he is to leave this summer. No price tag is mentioned, but the player is apparently keen.
