AC Milan are not just thinking about possible signings and sales in the January window as they are also expected to work on renewals.
While the current situations surrounding Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu are more urgent at the moment given their deals expire in six months, but in order to avoid a repeat of the difficulties the management are facing some attention will be paid to players whose deals run out in 2022.
According to what is being reported by Nicolo Schira on Twitter, there have been renewal talks between Davide Calabria and Milan. The right-back has 18 months left on his deal and currently earns €1.1m net per season.
Milan at the moment are thinking about an extension with an upward adjustment of his salary to around the €1.8/2m per year mark, which if it were the latter would mean he almost doubles his pay (81%) rise, though based on his form this season and his age (24) it would be hard to argue against.
