Sky: Agreement imminent between Milan and Monaco – details of the €7m deal

By Isak Möller -

Milan have reached an agreement with Monaco over the signing of Pietro Pellegri, as per several credible sources. The youngster will be the third-choice striker for the Rossoneri, heading into the upcoming season.

Pellegri’s agent, Giuseppe Riso, was present at Casa Milan earlier today to discuss the move with the Rossoneri. It seems the meeting was positive as an agreement is now in place, with only the final ‘ok’ missing from Monaco.

This was revealed by Peppe Di Stefano this evening, as well as Fabrizio Romano. The basis of the deal is a €1m loan with an option to buy at €6m, which would become an obligation if certain conditions are met.

There will also be a % of a future resale in favour of the French side, who just need to give their go-ahead as Milan have sent over the figures they agreed on. The next few hours, in other words, will be important.

    1. Agreed. For 3M for Kaio it should have been a no-brainer. Pellegri has played only 28 games since 2018 and has only a few goals to his name. 7M total? That’s Hague’s sale money. Yes he’s young and hopefully his injuries are behind him but for a club watching every penny we spend, Kaio for 3M on a permanent deal would have been better than Pellegri on a 7M permanent deal (if option exercised – which it should – you don’t loan a 20 year old without intention to sign permanently). Just pray we sign Yacine Adli. Better not let another gem get away and especially not for Bakayoko…

    1. Roses I have one question where are the goals going to come from?

Last season they did not beat the big teams, like Inter Atalanta and Juve when it mattered

Babykok does not score goals and is inconsistent , that why Tuchel does not want him. He knows he won UCL with Chelsea

  1. Milan is the perfect place for him to hopefully leave all those injury problems behind; with Giroud and Ibra ahead of him and giving the rather low figures of the deal, he won’t have that pressure to play that he had in Monaco that never let him recover well. He’s only 20 years old, with patience and support he can do a lot for us.
