Reports: Alarming details emerge as ‘too many’ must sanction every decision at Milan

By Isak Möller -

It’s been a hectic day from an AC Milan point of view. Not that anything special has happened, but more details on the corporate situation have emerged amid the lack of renewals for Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.

This was all sparked by the reported interest of Paris Saint-Germain in Milan target Renato Sanches (read more here), which seemed a done deal for the Rossoneri. The club ownership has stalled everything, which is indeed alarming.

As stated by Mediaset journalist Ale Franchetti, Maldini and Massara have done a tremendous job on the market at Milan. If it had been up to them, the likes of Origi, Botman and Sanches would’ve been announced by now. They moved early and secured the deals, but if these cannot be closed then others must be asked.

By others, of course, the journalist means the higher-ups in the club. This hypothesis was confirmed by SportFace editor-in-chief Alessandro Nizegorodcew, stating that the duo has always operated very well. The same goes for Zvone Boban when he was at the club.

The problem, however, has always been that ‘too many heads’ are needed to decide everything in the club. As a result of this, several operations have broken down at the last minute over the years, similarly to that of Sanches.

Most likely, this is something Maldini is pushing to change in the talks and that’s why the renewals are delayed. The renewals, in fact, cannot be guaranteed at the time being.

  1. If maldini can successfully convince blindbird to give him and Massara more power then that would be exceptional news

  2. LOL. And there are some dip$hits on this chat that said it was better to have Redbird as owners over Investcorp! LMAO. Those were the same losers on this chat that said Leao was lazy and should be sold for 30m! What a fkn disaster it would seem. M&M not going to sign; Sanches off to PSG; Botman to Newcastle; Bremer to Tottenham; Zaniolo staying put; CDK out of reach $$$ – LOLOLO. What a fkn disgrace. Snails and mirrors boys smoke and mirrors. If you think Pioli can pull off another scudetto w this team without significant reinforcements – you all will be in for an extremely long and disappointing season IMO.

    1. Dip$hit, Redbird doesn’t own the club yet. They have limited say on what money is spent and who is renewed etc. The deal closes in September. When companies change hands it takes a lot of time (particularly when 1.2bn dollars are involved), agreements need to be drawn up, financing needs to be lined up (and thus the agreements with financial institutions need to be drawn up and approved by them), etc. Lawyers need to review, etc. Elliott is still in effective control until all parties have signed all of the agreements which will happen in SEPTEMBER. You have to be a dip$hit or a child to not understand this. It’s unlikely Elliott will make any major changes or investments at this point, because you don’t start remodeling your kitchen when you’ve accepted an offer for your house. This is something nobody would do, unless they’re a dip$hit and want to give the buyer a free new kitchen, or are dip$hits who have never owned a house or developed/sold a business. Dip$hit.

      1. with Elliot still owning a minority stake they should think they still want to have a role in the club. Should have changed hands to RedBird, everything should be looking good but it looks like Maldini and Massara haven’t signed them yet it’s a question for both of them why.
Management in terms of transfers is like relaxing with offers. Remember Sanches can move to PSG and Botman can go to NU. They are tired of uncertainty.

      2. You don’t know what you’re talking about. You think you know, but you don’t.

Transfer budget is one of the things they discuss and agree on during negotiations. Like Investcorp was supposed to commit to a 300m budget for transfers as part of the deal. Surely part of the their deal takes this into account and the budget is set, and the structure is probably through a loan by Elliott which Redbird will cover in closing.

Otherwise, of course Elliot wouldn’t spend out of pocket and Rebird also wouldn’t in case there’s a break in negotiations. Believe me budget is set, and sanctioning moves for a defender and midfielder shouldn’t be a problem anyway since they are going to replace Romagnoli and Kessié, who were let go because of their high wages. So some money is already released, in addition to what Milan have earned during the season plus the sale of players like Hauge.

      3. LOL. Redbird don’t own the club yet – not until September??? HAHAHAHAHA. WOW. You are fkn clueless and are in fact a dip$hit LOL. AND Thanks for reminding us you were the jackass that called Leao “lazy” and that we should sell him for 30M and that We shouldn’t take “petrodollars” from a bunch of “arabs” – Hahahaha!!!! What a racist DONKEY you are! Disgusting! “you don’t start remodeling your kitchen when you’ve accepted an offer for your house” – hahahahaha! Your fkn priceless pal. Keep on giving us these fantastic analogies that have ZERO to do with the way sport is operated. So I guess we will NOT have any transfers this summer according to you – have to wait until Next transfer window – you know after the the deal is closed LOL. Ya I guess Chelsea is in the same boat as us then right? What a fkn loser you are. Stick to your racist rants about Arabs and oil and keep living in 1953 you piece of trash

    2. I believe that Sanchez does not want to be a benchwarmer in Paris rather than be in a young Milan squad. Even if they are a lock for knockout stages. Messi Neymar ect.

He has chosen wrong in the past and wants to prove his worth in a place he can grow.

But giving him double salary might change his mind though

  3. #RenewMaldini

Maldini needs our help guys! now is the time to act and help our legend save the club!
go on Instagram and Twitter and trend this hashtag, if enouph people see it, they will join our cause and this movement may bear fruit!

  4. When I said Gazidis was cancer, just a glorified accountant that almost ruined Arsenal. That was literally run out of there and fans cheered when they saw his back, i was ripped a new one here. Lo and behold, same s*it is happening here now and same person is killing our transfer window after transfer window and is now refusing to renew Maldini and Massara because they want him to stay the f*ck away from football as far away as possible and only deal with bureaucracy. Of course the doesn’t want to do that.

Vermin managed to convince everyone that he had his hand in this years Scudetto, but now that the truth is finally surfacing, we won this title despite him holding us back, not because of anything he did.

RedBird needs to make some tough choices. But I don’t trust them to make the right one.

  5. Elliot are also beeing looked at by Uefa because they indirectly own Lille aswell.
But both Milan and Lille played Europa League last season and in the Champions League this year. That is not allowed.
And also could elliot be blocking the deal to milan for sanchez and botman since they want to earn on the sale through Lille and by that making Red Bird pay extra money for the two players.

  6. It makes sense because there are problems inside Lille headquarters since some are ready to sell but someone “above them” are suddenly asking for a higher price or not wanting sanches sold at all. And the ones mentioned as “above all” could be the inversters (Elliot)

  7. Okay, a bit of a conspiracy theory but hear me out.

When it became obvious that Milan had a real chance to win the scudetto, Elliott little accountants crunched the numbers and realized that popularity and with it value of the club will skyrocket. Investcorp was still the only interested party but they wanted all of Milan and that would mean Elliott would not get in on that exponential growth and all the money it would bring, so they started looking for an idiot. When I say idiot I mean a new owner, and found it in RedBird. A fund ten times smaller than Elliott themselves, but just as greedy and with some background in sport.

They needed someone to throw money into a new stadium, someone that knows how to operate in corrupt Italian bureaucracy (Cardinale is American Italian so “knows people”), and willing to go all-in in the next few years while the stadium is built Elliott out of the kindness of their heart would give them a loan and retain 30% of Milan… for the “continuity” of course. So when the stadium is hopefully built and RedBird defaults on their loans, which they will because they are broke, and will have old Elliott bureaucrats still in the board and management to fight every step of the way, Elliott swoops down, grabs the club once again, only this time with a built stadium and once they stabilize it, again, its value doubles or even quadruples and all that lovely money goes into Elliott pockets.

Notice how I don’t mention Milan as a football club in all this? That it because it is irrelevant to them. They are all about making money, and they couldn’t care less what will happen to the club in the meantime football wise.

That is why Investcorp was taken out of equation, that is why RedBird were given a loan by Elliott, that is why Elliott kept 30% of the club. They were looking for some poor bastard to build them a stadium without them spending a dime on it.

All of this is hopefully complete and utter bullcrap, but I hope it gives you a good chuckle at least.

    1. Yeah ,agree with you. Elliot only pay media to tell fans that they care about AC Milan but they just looking another big money. It Will be huge mess if M&M leave AC Milan and replaced by elliot/Redbird guy

    2. You are missing only one, but very big point: the most hated fund in the World is Elliot! That is why they call them: vulture fund!

  8. There is a simpler explanation. Investcorp only offered 1.2b for the whole club. Chelsea sale made Elliott change their mind and when they realized Milan can very much win the Scudetto, they changed the valuation to 1.8b mid negotiation. So, Ellott demanded 1.2b and 30% share from Investcorp which equates to a total of 1.8b.

Investcorp regularly does businesses that involves billions. so they saw right through Elliott’s bullshit and changing commitments. Elliott wasn’t sure about the cost, so they didn’t want the negotiations to be public. But investcorp made it public so Elliott gets pressured to sell since Investcorp was genuinely interested in Milan and in football.

But Elliott wanted to play a game. They wanted 1.8b from Investcorp so they brought in a random nobody(Cardinale) from USA as a ‘competitor’ and Investcorp called their pathetic bluff. Elliott tried to get into the whole selling to redbird game just to see if Investcorp ups their offer at the last minute. But they instead bailed.

Meanwhile, Cardinale saw Milan and the fanbase. He knew he just landed a freaking goldmine and agreed to that 1.2b and 30% elliott ownership right away. He wasn’t allowing Elliott to back off from the sale now.

SO what Elliott did is.. delay the processing till half of the season so Milan won’t have ANY transfer budget available this summer. Fans are gonna be mad at Redbird so, they will get forced to sell it back to Elliott or just back out of the purchase.

Ellliott has NO Intention of letting Milan go. But not because they CARE about Milan. They want to Squeeze as MUCH money as they can from the club. To do that, they need Milan to have a bad, really bad season this year.

Elliott has Gazidis as the perfect worm to ruin the club. So That turd isn’t getting off of our shoe anytime soon. Maldini/Messara are expendable, because they care about the club and caring means they would want to spend and have a good season which will go against Elliott’s profit.

So Maldini Messara wants to cut Gazidis off when it comes to spending money on transfers. But Gazidis won’t ever let them do that because that will show everyone that Gazidis was NEVER EVER Needed in this club for Milan will be champs again under Maldini just fine.

Pretty much EVERYONE knows now that Gazidis is useless from his tenure at Arsenal. Not only that.. everyone hugely appreciated that Maldini’s way of making perfect signings works as Milan is now champions without making Any transfer over 25 mil.

Which means, this season.. either Maldini stays, or Gazidis. Elliott definitely wants Gazidis. But we fans have a say in it. I say F*CK both Gazidis and Elliott.

    1. Wall of text that shows you don’t know jack$hit about this situation. Just stfu and let the grown up do their job.

    LOL

    1. @bb

Elliott has LONG history of doing things like that. It actually can be much worse than what Shiva and I am speculating. Lets just hope that we are wrong.

  11. Just like the Chinese guy they will be hoping that RB defaults and then they retake full ownership for only a fraction of the price. Proper scummy way to do business. We are fckd.

  12. Lot of B.S. and finger pointing in the previous comments BUT a WHOLE lot of truth. Bottom line is although we won the Scudetto a winning team always has to try and improve. Every great/good/promising player that signs for the opposition indeed means he is not obviously playing for you. This transfer of power has muddied the waters and A.C. is in the middle of a $hitstorm with a capital $, “when it is time to shoot, shoot, don’t talk” , we need improvements ,the Scudetto looks like it will stay in Milan. Forza Rossoneri
