Reports: Why Bakayoko was left out of Milan’s squad for crucial Napoli game

By Isak Möller -

A lot has been written about Tiemoue Bakayokos’s lack of playing time lately and to make matters worse, the midfielder will miss AC Milan’s clash against Napoli this evening. An injury is the cause, reports confirm.

The Frenchman arrived on a two-year loan in the summer and it’s safe to say he hasn’t been hugely successful thus far. In fact, it seems he could leave Milan already this summer (read more here), one year earlier than expected.

According to Antonio Vitiello and Daniele Longo, Bakayoko is suffering from a lesion on his right adductor. That’s why he isn’t included in the Rossoneri’s squad for the important clash against Napoli, scheduled for 20:45 CET.

Obviously, he wouldn’t have started anyway as Milan have Sandro Tonali, Ismael Bennacer, Franck Kessie and perhaps even Rade Krunic higher than him in the pecking order. But then again, the injury has made things worse for Bakayoko, no doubt.
