Reports: Barcelona in the hunt as Spurs identify alternative to €35m Milan star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek is once again attracting the interest of LaLiga giants Barcelona, according to reports.

The Poland international was an unused substitute on Sunday afternoon as the Rossoneri edged a thriller against Udinese at San Siro. Ante Rebic was the hero as his second half brace – including a 93rd minute winner – allowed Milan to come from behind and win 3-2.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.it, Piatek’s future with Milan is now firmly up in the air.

With just 11 days until the end of the winter transfer window, the Diavolo are looking for the best solution for the former Genoa man.

Tottenham seemed to be there on pole as they seek a replacement for the injured Harry Kane, however the Daily Star believe that Jose Mourinho is now looking at Luka Jovic of Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo claim that Piatek is one of three profiles being examined as a possible replacement for Luis Suarez. Among the others are Dani Olmo and Pedro Rodriguez of Chelsea.
