Reports: ‘Minimum nine figures’ – Barcelona ‘readying’ Leao offer for Milan

Rafael Leao was the topic of hot interest before the mercato opened, and there have been peaks and troughs of interest throughout. However, Barcelona are now ready to approach AC Milan with an offer.

Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United all were believed to be interested in the prospect of signing Milan’s star before the mercato opened, all looking to gain one of the best wingers in the world, but none came forward after the Rossoneri referred to the release clause in Leao’s contract.

A similar story can be told about Al-Hilal’s rumoured interest, but again, there was no proper movement made, and Leao remains.

However, a new club has come forward aiming to put together a deal for the Diavolo’s prized asset, and this time it is Barcelona. Reports emerged in recent days about the interest, and reports from Spain have solidified the Blaugrana’s interest, stating the winger is a ‘dream’ target for their management.

However, considering the financial issues at the club, it remains to be seen whether they could get anywhere near the figure required to relocate the player.

As Mundo Deportivo and El Chiringuito (via Pianeta Milan) claim, a proposal of €60 million is ready, but there is no chance of a deal being finalised for that figure. Instead, Milan are expected to demand more than €100m for negotiations to begin, let alone conclude.

  1. Why are we talking about this, it’s obviously a hoax, no way we sell him at the end of the window with no replacement, let alone for these figures… Stupid newspapers

  2. Barcelona gonna start hocking old trophies to sign players pretty soon. Someone’s gonna run into Deco at the pawn shop lol

  3. They have players we can collect and further strengthen the team only problem will be salary agreements. Ferran Torres, Raphina, and 60mill won’t be bad, maybe a little bit of Gundogan 😂

  4. I would not be surprice if our menagement agree on some silly amount about 70 mil. + Bonuses. They are weak when we talk about money and they make me scared.

    1. They are weak when it comes to money? Ha ha ha.
Sold Tonali for double than what he was worth, and are buying players for 5-10m less than what their previous teams were asking.

      1. Yes double than he was worth bla bla blahh, that probably make your imagined argument better ,he was worth nothing less then 60 mil when he was sold. He is still worth at least 50 even though he didnt play there at all. I don’t know how the second part of your comment should be in counter to what i already said ,if you are weak about money you always try to pay less. You just made my statement stronger.

        1. Ha ha 😂.
If you are weak about money you always try to pay less!
          How old are you?
I guess in your mind people that are “strong” about money always try to pay more than what the asking price is.
          Ha ha 😂

          1. Now you got it wrong even more. It’s obvious that you don’t understand what i was trying to say then. It’s not about what is in my mind but about language bariere. In my language that’s the phrase we use when the money is a soft spot of somebody, his weakness, vulnerable point ,hard to translate ,i doubt you will understant it. Like if you like candies but you are on diet, somebody offers you a candy and you cannot refuse it even though it was a shi**y cheap candy.

          2. English clubs buying weak players for 100 or 120m, in ghat case Milan sold Tonali to less than what he can be sold for.

He was never to be sold but what we got is not less but he shouldn’t be on the market.

The way this management working doesn’t make any Milanista happy maybe for me fake fans it can. It was evident when he came to San siro

            Hmm. Interesting.
38m is around double than what he was sold for, but apparently, that’s an imagined argument.”
            – it is his estimated value now ,one year after suspension and without football, is it normal for you that this was his estimated price a year before when they bought him or it droped? Also i compare player prices based on other player prices and their performances, not just because transfermarkt say so. And still 64 is 12 mil less than a 2×38 .You can get saelemakers for 12 mil

          2. Tonali was valued at 50mil when Newcastle both him. They payed a bit over that 64mil in total. Which is quite normal for in form starter player. So they didn’t sold him for double his worth for sure, that’s made up. They sold him for average market price and then wasted the money for 3 new mids who couldn’t replace Tonali.

  5. No one in their right mind is selling Leao this close to the end of the window for anything less than 100mil and no time to find a replacement.

Barca can’t afford him. Heck, they can’t even afford that old fart Gundogan. They can eff off.

    1. Outside of Saudi’s I don’t know who else these days can afford that transfer fee…. I mean hell… even Ninja Turtle went for free.

        1. Nah. That would be Real. Don’t like shíty but they’re actually pretty conservative spenders for an oil club.
Spend less than United won more than United. I miss Saf United

  6. One problem with this Varselona is that they most of the time turn the player against their club first and then start lowballing. We should be careful with that

    1. I don’t think we are in danger of that. Leao gets all sorts of flexibility at Milan seeing as to how he is the star. At Barca (or the like) he wouldn’t be The Star – he would be just another star… Surely he is intelligent enough to understand that.

  7. saying leao is the best winger in the world is craaaaaaaaaaazy! i’m a Milan fan and tbh leao is well overrated IMO the guy gives me anxiety each time hes on the ball. the most inconsistent player EVER!

  8. 70 to 80million is more than enough for Leao…the guy is lazy, no work ethics, I hate seeing him play.
Take the money and sign e decent winger, not a brainless sprinter like Leao

  9. I think this is just media tripe, but even IF Barfa had the money, it’s simply too late in the window for our slow management to get in a replacement.
