Reports: Confusion surrounds Castillejo’s future – three clubs linked as agents do battle

By Oliver Fisher -

As we head into deadline day, the future of Samu Castillejo is no closer to becoming any clearer as a war of agents is reportedly underway.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), a sort of saga has been created regarding the sale of Castillejo. The old agent of the Spaniard – Manuel Garcia Quillon – had in fact reached an agreement with Real Sociedad while his new representatives, the Stella agency, found a deal with Getafe.

Ultimately it is now up to the player to choose the club he would prefer to go to and that would likely indicate a choice regarding who will represent him moving forward, but such confusion is not helpful in the final few hours of the window.

As if things couldn’t get any more bizarre, La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that Castillejo could indeed leave the club but Getafe are not listed as a potential destination – only Sampdoria and Real Sociedad. As the hours go by though, his sale looks less and less likely.
