Reports: Conte takes an interest in Milan duo after being announced as Spurs boss

Antonio Conte has been officially announced as Tottenham’s new manager and he has two AC Milan players on his list of potential targets, a report claims.

According to MilanLive, Franck Kessie is a target for the Italian as he wanted the 24-year-old at Inter when he was Nerazzurri boss. Kessie’s contract is expiring at the end of the season meaning he could make the move to the Premier League on a free transfer and give a big boost to the muscle of the Spurs midfield.

It also cannot be excluded that at the end of the season the Spurs may turn to Alessio Romagnoli too as per the report, as the captain is very unlikely to renew his contract due to the tensions with his agent Mino Raiola and the fact the management are not willing to extend him at the same salary.

If he were to turn to the 3-5-2 he used at Inter, Conte will probably try to sign a left-footed central defender as per the source. Calciomercato.it also believe Romagnoli to be a potential target, adding that he could depart for €10m in January.
