Reports: Denials emerge regarding rumours Milan are close to signing James Rodriguez

Denials have filtered regarding the news from South America suggesting that James Rodriguez is close to signing for AC Milan.

ESPN (via Marca) reported that his agent Jorge Mendes has been probing potential destinations for James given that he wants to leave Everton before the window closes, and Milan have appeared again as an ‘escape door’ for the Colombia international.

According to the latest from MilanNews however, the former Real Madrid man is not a market target for the Rossoneri who are evaluating other profiles for the attack. Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com also confirms that the 30-year-old is not close to joining the Diavolo.

  1. If they can get him for free they should. Having only 1 player in that position is criminal, and he is actually a good player that has a problem with injuries. Would be very useful for a season or 2.
