AC Milan are closing in on a deal for Gremio and Brazil winger Everton Soares, according to reports from Portugal.
The Rossoneri were strongly linked with a move for Everton when his countryman Leonardo was the sporting director, but the track appeared to go called in the recent weeks.
However, Portuguese paper A Bola claim that the forward wants to join Milan, but a deal will cost around €40million.
Meanwhile, Brazilian journalist Farid Germano claims that Milan have submitted their offer to Gremio, but agent Gilmar Veloz flew to Italy to present a counter-offer.
The 23-year-old has played primarily as a left-winger, however he can also play on the right side but – crucially to Marco Giampaolo’s 4-3-1-2 – could also play as a support striker.
He was the top scorer for Brazil in the Copa America and netted in their final win over Peru. He has a €60m release clause in his contract.
