Reports: Giampaolo targeting three Milan players after taking Torino job

By Oliver Fisher -

New Torino boss Marco Giampaolo is targeting three players he worked with during his time at AC Milan, according to a report.

It was announced over the weekend that Giampaolo has taken over as the new head coach of the Granata, and both MilanLive and QS (via MilanNews) are reporting that he is already targeting a trio he coached during his short stint with the Rossoneri.

The three players in question are Ricardo Rodriguez, Rade Krunic and Davide Calabria.

The former is the closest to signing for Torino as meetings are expected on Monday to clarify the situation and draw up agreements, while Krunic is also a request of Giampaolo as he coached him at Empoli too.

Finnally, Milan are believed to be unopposed to the sale of Calabria as he would generate pure capital gains due to being a product of the academy.

It is no secret that club are looking for an upgrade at right-back too, so the 23-year-old would be down the pecking order, while Tiemoue Bakayoko is the man lined up to replace Krunic.
