Reports: Kalulu has ‘not decided on his future’ – Atalanta remain in the running

By Oliver Fisher -

Pierre Kalulu has not yet made a decision on the idea of joining Juventus despite the fact a deal has been agreed between the clubs, according to reports.

Fabrizio Romano reported yesterday that Kalulu has given the green light to what would be an initial loan deal with an option to make it permanent in 2025. Juventus would be paying €3m for the loan and would then be able to buy the Frenchman outright for €14m next summer.

However, Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport has pumped the brakes on things, claiming that Kalulu has ‘not decided on his future’ despite Juventus’ strong interest, implying that they still have some convincing to do.

He claims that there is a full agreement between Milan and the Bianconeri over a €4m loan and a €14m option to buy, but Atalanta remain in the running to sign the former Lyon man. Kalulu ‘will make a choice soon’ based on what he thinks is the best move for his career.

Sky meanwhile state that the 24-year-old ‘has expressed his desire to be sold’ but Juve have not yet found an agreement with him. Today there will be a video call with Kalulu and his entourage to talk about the future.

  1. Kalulu is after regular playing time but i hope he doesn’t turn out to be a Pirlo type signing for Juve as for the price and potential he could be bargain signing for them. For those who mock him. He has won the scudetto with us playing a major role. He is only 24 years old, his biggest asset is ability to play in multiple positions + proven serie A experience. For that price Juve or Atlanta are getting a very good player. I hope we include bonus + big sell on clause.

  2. I wish he leaves for Atalanta, if it comes to it. He’d be perfect in a three-man defense and Gasp will make a monster out of him.

Additionally, we sure will get a bigger share when they will eventually sell him for sh*tloads of money and give us our 10% sell-on percentage.

  3. Stop it.
If Juve were to sell Kalulu to us after his last season you would say they are robbing us. He had a couple of good games but to be honest the whole team played great then.

And he isnt top notch either as a cb or rb.

    1. Exactly. If the roles were reversed and it was us offering 17M plus to Juventus from him you’d have usual parade of people trashing ownership and Moncada, saying that Kalulu is terrible and would be a waste of money, etc.

He hasn’t played well since the scudetto season and is currently 5th choice CB and 3rd choice RB. 17M and any further bonuses and resale percentages that may be attached would represent a fantastic return for a player we paid 500K for and who is a reserve.

      1. Yeap, people would bashing the management saying why would we sign an injury prone player who only had 1 good season during the scudetto, which tbf, everyone was having a good season.
