Reports: Kalulu to Juventus a done deal after green light arrives – the figures

Juventus have finally made the desired breakthrough on the Pierre Kalulu front and the operation should soon be fully completed with AC Milan, reports claimed.

As we reported exclusively a few days ago, talks between Juventus and Milan over a deal for Kalulu went very quickly and then before the weekend there was a slowdown in the negotiations which was down to the player himself, as he asked for time to think.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Kalulu decided yesterday that he will accept a move to Juve and thus the final green light needed has arrived, which in turn should set everything in motion.

The formula is as follows: a season-long loan with a €3.5m fee, a €14m option to buy plus €3m in potential bonuses, and a future resale clause which means Milan will get 10% of any proceeds that might come from a sale down the line.

Initially the Frenchman hoped to join Juventus with a permanent deal or obligation to buy in order to take a definitive next step in his career, but in the end he was convinced and accepted the loan with option to buy.

Gianluca Di Marzio is also reporting that Kalulu has said yes to the Bianconeri, confirming the formula mentioned above. He will be in Turin today to undergo a medical and sign his contract.

  1. Uhh okay, not the best outcome but nevertheless needed one for the club, as we really need to start offloading some players.

Now hope he wont show up when we played against Juventus lol

    1. Don’t worry, he won’t. I’d be more much worried about Thiaw being on the pitch playing for us than Kalulu on the other side.

  2. Big gamble from Juventus taking an injury-plagued player who’s barely played for two seasons… The deal could definitely have been better for us though – plus we have more important deadwood to offload than Kalulu imo.

    1. I don’t think he is a injury plagued player. All players at Milan are getting injured and they need to figure out what is the problem. Last year and the year before were a mess with injuries.

    2. They missed on two targets already and the season started. They are in desperation mode. Kalulu will get more minutes there than at Milan anyway.

Good Luck to him. Hope he does well and they buy him.

  3. sad to see him go as I would have liked for us to sell Thiaw. Anyhow, not a bad deal for both parties. Juve paid for current value with the advantage of him getting back on track which could easily double his value by end of this season. We also get 20m for a player who is 5th choice for us. Time will tell who made the choice but I think we sold him too cheaply!
