Reports: Leeds make enquiries about Milan forward Leao – the Rossoneri’s stance

By Oliver Fisher -

Leeds United have shown an interest in signing AC Milan forward Rafael Leao this summer, according to a report.

The Portuguese starlet moved to Milan from Lille a year ago and had a mixed first season at the club, scoring six goals in Serie A including four in the 12 games after lockdown.

According to what is being reported by Sky Sport (via MilanLive), Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds are interested in signing the 21-year-old winger ahead of their first season back in the Premier League for over 10 years.

However, the report adds that Milan strongly believe in Leao and for this reason it seems difficult to imagine that they will sell him. The Rossoneri think that he will grow with another season alongside Ibrahimovic and therefore will not cash in.

Football Insider are also reporting that Leeds have made enquiries about Leao, who would cost at least the €28m Milan paid for him but Milan are unlikely to sell.
