Reports: Maldini keen on bringing Napoli winger to Milan as loan hypothesis opens up

AC Milan director Paolo Maldini is keen on pursuing a move for Napoli winger Hirving Lozano this summer, according to a report.

The Rossoneri were extensively linked with a move for Lozano while he was at PSV Eindhoven and while he ended up in Serie A, it was with rivals Napoli that he chose to sign.

According to Calciomercato.it however, the chapter might not yet be closed as Milan could get their hands on Lozano, who is ready to leave Napoli possibly even on loan.

The report adds that Milan’s priorities are the renewals of Donnarumma, Ibrahimovic and Calhanoglu, but then the focus will be hunting for new purchases. The ideas are very clear: the club need a full-back, a centre-back, a midfielder and a winger.

Lozano could help fill the latter need as the Mexico international has not had the best first season in Naples. The report then cites Tuttosport in claiming that Lozano – who has five goals and two assists in 37 appearances this season – can leave on loan.

The possibility of a move to Parma could be open as Gervinho is set to leave, but if Maldini and Milan were to move definitively then it could be too tempting.
