Reports: Daniel Maldini’s loan move to SPAL hits roadblock – the situation

By Isak Möller -

Earlier today, it was reported that Daniel Maldini could join SPAL on loan for the remainder of the season to get playing time. The move, however, now looks complicated and the player could stay.

The attacking midfielder has only played 219 minutes this season after what was a promising pre-season. He did get on the scoresheet against Spezia, but his performances have not been spectacular most of the time.

A loan move could be the perfect solution for Daniel, therefore, who appears open to that this month. However, as reported by Antonio Vitiello this evening, the rumoured transfer to SPAL is complicated and it could fail to materialise.

Daniele Longo adds that SPAL haven’t given the green light for Demba Seck to join Torino, which is directly linked to their interest in Maldini. There could be more updates on the matter in the coming hours, but for now the talks have stalled.
