AC Milan have been joined by Manchester United in the race to sign midfielder Matias Vecino from Inter, according to a report.
It was suggested by multiple outlets that there is the potential for a swap deal involving Franck Kessie – a player admired by Antonio Conte – and Matias Vecino, who continues to be strongly linked with a move to Spurs.
Tuttosport reported on Friday (via Calciomercato.com) that the hypothesis of a Vecino-Kessie exchange between Milan and Inter is complicated at present due to the differing valuations of the two players in the eyes of their respective clubs.
However, the Turin-based outlet claimed that the Rossoneri could still make a move for the Uruguay international regardless of Kessie’s future.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (as cited by SportWitness), Manchester United are now in the race to land Vecino having run into difficulties trying to secure some of their other midfield targets.
The report adds that it has previously been suggested by il Corriere dello Sport that the Nerazzurri would demand €20m for the 28-year-old.
Sky Italia are also reporting that United are weighing up a bid for Vecino, as cited by Football Italia.
