Conrad Harder’s move to AC Milan is reportedly falling through and as a result, per various reports, the Rossoneri are ready to switch focus to Dusan Vlahovic.
Harder seemed to be just a medical away from signing his Milan contract a few days ago, but things have now become complicated in the talks with Sporting Lisbon. With the second game of the season scheduled for Friday (Lecce away), Max Allegri has grown tired of waiting.

As first reported by Gianluca Di Marzio this afternoon, the Harder stalemate has forced the Rossoneri into a position they don’t want to be in: waiting with no guarantees. As such, they could now switch their focus to Vlahovic, who has always been a request of Allegri.

As added by Daniele Longo, Milan are no longer willing to wait for Sporting’s green light for Harder and have thus chosen Allegri’s line. Indeed, they are now moving full steam ahead for Vlahovic, who remains on Juve’s exit list.
Earlier today, it was reported that the Serbian striker is willing to accept a salary of €6m per year plus bonuses (for a maximum of €7.5m). The Bianconeri, meanwhile, have set the price tag at €20m – the minimum needed to avoid a capital loss.
It remains to be seen if the parties will take steps forward in the coming hours, but what’s clear is that Milan need a striker as soon as possible.
Vlahovic is not coming lol. All these reports of him sacrificing his salary to join is all BS. He will stay at Juve because Tudor actually rates him, he is gonna make his 12M and that’s it. Who is going to be our CF now? All of our options either decided no or fell through. Again, a whole summer went by and no long term or relible CF option came.
They want Kolo Muani. So he isn’t that wanted. They would prefer to get him out and bring in Kolo Muani.
My bet is he ends up at Milan. This is his last year at 12m/year salary. He knows he’s not going to make much more than half of that in any new contract. Allegri is a friendly face. He’ll step right into the starting lineup and bang in 15-20 goals. It’s the right move for player and both teams.
If correct then I was happy about Harder potentially Joining us but Vlahovic has always been the dream so if we actually can get this deal done all the better. When that is said I expect Harder to become a big name in the coming years. Vlahovic though I expect to instantly bag close to 20 goals pr. season for us.
I was hoping for both but it is unrealistic. Vlahovic is the better option for Milan now.
Same here, even if I consider Harder an already good player then in my view he can easily become a force to be reckoned with in the coming years.
Harder’s still raw, like his name, he needs to train harder and harder to be Haaland. It would be still a gambling tho.
Well I think he can outrun and out muzzle Gimenez already but I’m not saying he will ever reach Haalands level but I can easily see him become a top forward in the coming years.
Realistically we don’t need both. Vlahovic is 25, if he hits the ground running he’ll be the first striker for long or until sold. If Camarda develops ideal. Harder seemed like an issue in this case.
Sure but at the same time he can also play on either wing so considering that we already sold Okafor and might sell Chukwueze I could see him getting his fair share of minutes still. If Camarda comes back ready he could still be utilized in the front 3 so I wouldn’t be too worried but if the deal is off its off so that is it. A small sidenote if Gimenez doesn’t perform this season I’m pretty confident that he will be shipped out next summer.
Yeah but we aren’t really playing with wingers. We have Pulisic and Leao and both are not really on the wing.
I think we will some times though or at least I hope so as I really doesn’t like the idea of us utilizing Leao as a cf.

Harder are more realistic than DV . He is more versatile and all his physical atribute can make him top forward in future, but need coach that can trust him to play. DV salary always an obstacle for every club that want buy him. Big transfer fee & big salary not always give better result than cheap forward , look at MU now, buying sesko 80m euro and he cannot score vs amateur player 4th division in carabo cup. Harder, uche are more realistic target for ACM

Unlikely if you are talking about Harder, if anything he will most likely be sold for 60-70 mil in 2-3 years time.

That’s bold statement – have you watched him play consistently? Just curious not doubting. If you have great but I think many have never heard of the kid and not as if he was lighting up the Portuguese league with 5 goals in 28 games. Ya maybe he becomes great and may Carmada does too – the point is – IF we aspire to qualify for UCL or win the title (not a Redbird goal) we need PROVEN players (in addition to prospects that may or may not develop). There are no guarantees with these young players and you would think a team that finished 8th would want more guaranteed players to help us get back in UCL rather than gamble AGAIN
Well Vlahovic was always my preferred choice so I would be more than fine with him joining us instead. Well as a Dane I’ve followed him since his time in Denmark and I do believe he will become a top player but obviously none of us has a magic crystal ball to guarantee what the future holds but I do believe he is already much better than a lot of people around here seems to think. Last season he played 52 games for Sporting and played roughly 1600 minutes over all competitions and contributed with either a g/a pr. 90 minute played and that as a substitute often only playing a few minutes here and there.

We need a ready striker and Vlahović ticks all the boxes. I just hope he blends in well with the squad, especially with Leao and Pulišić.
Don’t worry, Leao and Pulisic will be gone in 2026. Chukwueze in a few days. We’re getting rid of all of our wingers because we’re going to play 3-5-2 with three defensive midfielders in the middle and two immobile strikers up top. It’s how Allegri likes it. Low block, even against teams like Cremonese and then a glacial stroll to the opposition box to see if we can engineer a goal from a cross or free kick.

The question I have is, how long will Max stay … Because Vlahovic only makes sense under Allegri as the striker is limited in how he can play.
Vlahovic isn’t very versatile. He can’t play with his back to goal for any sort of holdup play. His first touch isn’t great. He’s decent when he runs at defenses and poaches in the box. Will any future coach use him the same way?
Because if Max leaves then we’re stuck with Vlahovic and inherit Juve’s problem.
Honest truth. But we just have to evaluate this all thing and decide how long will max stay and how many years contract are we giving dusan, to me I see him more of a problem to us than a solution, he is more of a short term solution atm.

Tare will fix this. 100% sure about that. You can not sign Vlahovic in early August. You have to wait until the final days of the mercato when Juve only have the Milan option or keep him and spend 12m in salary another year and he is free to leave after the season.
I am not commenting on this specific move in the Mercato (only real issue is salary), but does anyone else think as I do that the whole Mercato period is just crazy. Teams start the season with unsettled rosters and players. The Mercato should begin much earlier and end a full week before the season begins.
But you’ve just said youre dumping chuk, so how can you not go for both? Were rail thin up top now. We have Gimenez and Leao, pulisic is not a forward. Thats 2 players, 3 with vlahovic. Leao isn’t even fit, and Gimenez hasn’t been reliable. This makes me fearful of going back to the “put way too much trust in leao” plan
I quite like what I’ve seen of Harder. Seems an exciting talent and we can’t or won’t pay 60 or 70m for a ready made one.
Vlahovic is the sensible choice though he clearly has a challenging character.
It’s all a bit of a mess and late in the window. Gimenez is clearly suffering with this dynamic also. Can’t understand why we didn’t at least keep Jovic, who was very good at the end of the season when he got a run of games
Not a huge fan of Vlahovic but at least he brings guarantees. And we sure need a reliable “10-20 goals per season” type of guy.
