AC Milan are close to completing the sale of Tommaso Pobega to Atalanta but want to protect themselves, according to a report.
According to L’Eco di Bergamo (via MilanLive), Milan are close to selling Pobega to Atalanta outright in a deal that should cost La Dea €12m plus bonuses. However, Milan wants to include a buy-back in the deal to avoid same mistakes that occurred with Matteo Pessina and Manuel Locatelli.
There is some big regrets about the aforementioned duo, given that now they have also become important pieces of the Italian national team at the European Championships. Milan want to give themselves the opportunity to bring Pobega back to base should he thrive in Bergamo, but Atalanta’s stance is undefined.
As reported by il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Atalanta have asked for the midfielder and would be willing to pay €12-13m, while the Rossoneri want a formula whereby they do not lose control of the player.
