Reports: Milan discuss €20m Fiorentina defender and other Argentine players with agent

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan held a meeting with agent Martin Guastadisegno on Wednesday at Casa Milan to declare their interest in a Fiorentina defender.

According to MilanNews, the meeting was between the Rossoneri management and Guastadisegno and involved discussions about a number of Argentine players, including German Pezzella.

Pezzella is captain of Fiorentina and is a player that Stefano Pioli knows well from his time as head coach of La Viola. With doubts over the futures of the likes of Leo Duarte and Mateo Musacchio it could be that he is being lined up, but for the moment there has been no acceleration from the Rossoneri.

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com meanwhile also confirms that discussions were held with the agent about some young Argentine players plus Pezzella.

He describes the pursuit of the 29-year-old as ‘not easy’ but that Fiorentina could be tempted into selling for around the €18-20million mark.
